ALLEN JAMES
SENIOR PASTOR
Allen has served as our Pastor since November 2014. Allen loves the church and helping people. With the pastor/shepherd and encourager blend of spiritual gifts, he has a passion for preaching and leading others to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Prior to God calling him to Salem, Allen served as pastor of West Bradenton Baptist Church in Bradenton, Florida. He has also served in various other ministry roles in churches throughout Tennessee, Florida, and Texas.
He and his wife, Nova, have been married since June 1993. Their daughter, Abbie, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Abbie and her husband, Wes, reside in Tallahassee, Florida. Abbie and Wes most importantly have a precious son, Clark, born in 2021, and a sweet daughter, Ellen, born in 2024.
In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and detailing cars. He is an avid Texas Longhorn fan! Allen earned his Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies and Sociology from the University of Memphis and his Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
