Connect Groups for adults take place at 9 a.m. every Sunday at Salem. Connecting with a group is a great way to explore God's Word and connect with new friends. Whether you are a newcomer or long-time attender... young or old... married or single... there is a Connect Group just right for you. CLICK HERE to see a current listing of groups available.

Our Senior Adult Ministry focuses on those in our church family over age 60 by helping them connect with one another and develop and deepen friendships.
  • Connect Groups on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.
  • Monthly Luncheon that provides a program, great food, and warm fellowship.
  • Special Trips are planned throughout the year to provide memorable experiences for all involved in Young at Heart.

The Deacon Ministry of Salem exists to spiritually serve the needs of our church family through hospital visitation, encouraging widows and widowers, helping those in need, and assisting with benevolent needs. They also serve as spiritual advisors to our pastoral staff. Our Deacons serve 3-year rotations/terms.

Through the ministry of pastoral care we seek to provide encouragement, guidance, and hope through difficult times. If you have a need in any of the areas listed below please call the church office at 865.922.3490.

Short-term Bible-based counseling is available to anyone in our church and local community at no charge.  Both pre-marital and marital counseling are available for a fee.*

If you have a need for prayer, please call the church office at (865) 922-3490 or complete a prayer request card online or during a Sunday worship service. We would love to pray with you.

Our Pastors and Deacons extend compassionate ministry and prayer to those who are hospitalized through personal visitation in area hospitals. Request a hospital or pre-surgery visit by calling the church office.

Are you experiencing a financial hardship? If so, we offer short-term financial assistance and/or Biblically-based guidance for church members in times of special need. All requests for assistance must be accompanied by a completed application.

Our desire is to provide care and comfort for any family who is suffering the loss of a loved one. One of our Pastors will attempt to contact a family member to express our condolences, pray for the family, and offer any assistance that the family may request.

* Please Note: Currently none of our ministers are professional counselors. If further counseling or expertise is needed, our pastoral staff will help connect you with a professional who can assist more effectively.
